Signal vs. Noise
The data on $XAUUSD is genuinely conflicted right now. Some sources are flagging upside catalysts while others are highlighting risks. When even our multi-source engine can't find consensus, that's a signal in itself: stay flat or reduce size until clarity emerges.
Our signal engine requires multi-source convergence before publishing a call. Right now, we're at 2 out of 3 confirmations. We'll publish if and when the final piece falls into place.
Macro Context
Understanding the broader context is critical for any trade:
- Risk appetite: Are equities, crypto, and high-yield bonds moving together? That tells you about overall sentiment.
- Volatility: VIX levels above 20 suggest hedging demand is elevated. Adjust position sizing accordingly.
- Correlation shifts: When assets that normally move together start diverging, something structural is changing.
- Calendar awareness: Check the economic calendar for catalysts that could override technical setups.
Source Credibility Check
Not all sources carry equal weight. Here's how the reports break down:

Levels & Setups to Watch
- Range boundaries: Define the upper and lower bounds of the current range. Trade within it, or wait for the break.
- Volume: Watch for volume spikes — they'll signal which way the range resolves.
- Signal confidence: Use Markitel's confidence score to filter. In choppy markets, only take 75%+ setups.
- Upcoming catalysts: Check the calendar — the next macro event could be the range-breaker.
Markets move fast. Our job is to keep you one step ahead. See you in the next one.
